Information We Collect

When you use Glowprint, we collect information you choose to provide, including your photos and profile information. We also automatically collect information about your device and how you use the app, including device type, operating system, and app performance data.

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to provide and improve the Glowprint service, including analyzing your photos to generate your face analysis and beauty recommendations. We also use it to troubleshoot issues, prevent fraud, and improve your experience.

Face Data

Glowprint collects a single still photo of your face (captured by camera or chosen from your photo library) for the sole purpose of generating your beauty analysis. The photo is sent over an encrypted connection to Google LLC's Gemini API. Neither Glowprint nor Google retains the photo after analysis completes. The only data stored is the resulting text analysis, which is saved locally on your device. We do not collect biometric face templates, facial recognition embeddings, or Face ID / TrueDepth data.

The face data is used solely to generate your personalized beauty recommendations (face shape, skin undertone, color season, hairstyle suggestions, makeup tips, and similar). It is never used for advertising, user tracking, identity verification, profile creation, or to train Google's AI models. Per the Gemini API Additional Terms, Google does not retain or train on data sent through the Gemini API.

Retention: the photo exists in memory only during the API call (typically a few seconds) and is discarded once the response returns. No persistent copy is stored by Glowprint or Google. The derived text analysis (such as color season and face shape) is saved locally on your device only — not on any server — until you delete the app or use the "Delete my data" option in the app's Settings.

If you use optional features like Before & After photos, those images are stored locally on your device only. They are not uploaded to Glowprint servers unless you choose to share them yourself.

Photo Data & AI Processing

Glowprint uses a third-party AI service, Google's Gemini API (provided by Google LLC), to analyze your face photo. When you start a scan, your photo, along with any optional details you choose to provide during onboarding (such as vein color, jewelry preference, and natural hair color), is sent to the Gemini API. Google processes this data to return your face analysis and does not use it to train its models. Google's handling of this data is governed by the Google Privacy Policy and Gemini API Terms, which provide protections equivalent to those described in this policy.

We ask for your permission inside the app before your photo is sent for AI analysis. Your photos are never sold or used for advertising. Your analysis results are saved locally on your device. You can delete your photos and analysis data at any time from within the app or by contacting us. Deleted data is removed within 30 days.

Data Storage & Security

We store your data on secure servers with encryption in transit and at rest. We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information from unauthorized access. However, no method of transmission over the internet is entirely secure. If you have concerns about data security, please contact us.

Analytics and Usage Data

We use Google Analytics for Firebase (provided by Google LLC) to understand how people use Glowprint so we can improve it. This collects app-usage data — such as which screens you view, which features you tap, and the answers you give during onboarding (including how you heard about us) — along with a device identifier and general device information (device type and operating system). This information is used only to measure and improve the app. It is not linked to your name, it is not used to track you across other companies' apps or websites, and it is never sold. Firebase's handling of this data is governed by the Firebase Privacy and Security policy and the Google Privacy Policy. To request deletion of this data, contact us at support@glowprint.app.

Referral Invites

If you use an invite link, Glowprint stores a random invite code, a hashed app install identifier, invite progress, and limited anti-abuse data such as hashed IP address, user agent, and referral click time. We use this only to track referral rewards, prevent self-referrals and fraud, and unlock earned access. We do not store names, phone numbers, emails, or contact lists for referral invites.

Third-Party Services

Glowprint shares data with the following third parties:

Each third party listed above provides protections for your data that are the same as or equivalent to those described in this policy.

Affiliate Links and Cookies

Glowprint participates in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program and other affiliate programs. When you click an affiliate link on our website or in the app, the destination retailer may set its own cookies on your device to track whether the click results in a purchase. This is how we earn commission on referred sales.

Glowprint does not collect, store, or sell your shopping behavior data. We only receive aggregated commission reports from each affiliate program. For more details on our affiliate relationships, see our Affiliate Disclosure.

Your Rights

You have the right to access, delete, or export your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@glowprint.app. We will respond to requests within 30 days. You also have the right to opt out of certain data collection through your device settings.

Withdrawing your consent for AI face analysis: when you first start a scan, the app asks for your explicit consent before sending your photo to Google's Gemini AI. You can withdraw that consent at any time by opening the app's Profile tab and tapping "Delete all my data". This wipes your saved analysis along with your stored consent, so the next scan you start will prompt you again. Uninstalling the app also withdraws consent, since the consent record is stored only on your device.

Children's Privacy

Glowprint is intended for users 13 years and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we've collected information from a child under 13, we will delete it immediately. Parents or guardians who believe their child's information has been collected should contact us at support@glowprint.app.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we'll notify you by email or through the app. Your continued use of Glowprint after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
